Have you always wanted to create a portrait of a loved one, or even yourself? Join Pete Malaguti for this 4-week workshop, where he will guide you through the practice of creating a self-portrait that reflects who YOU are! Pete will take students through a variety of introductory exercises, such as learning about the structure of the human skull and basic proportions, how to use lighting to take a better photo, how to use 3/4 views, how to draw facial features in those views and more.
After the first session, students will be given the freedom to choose whichever medium they’d like to create their final portraits, whether it’s Oil, Acrylics, Pastel, Watercolour, Charcoal or Pencil. By the end of this course, you can expect to take home 3-4 dynamic, powerful and colourful portraits that reflect the unique personality of the sitter, or yourself.
This class is open to all skill levels from beginners to intermediate.
