Director/Curator's Message
As it has for the past forty years, RiverBrink Art Museum continues to build and sustain an audience for the experience and appreciation of fine art in the Niagara region. The remarkable collection assembled by Samuel E. Weir at his summer home, and the beautiful location of the art museum on the Niagara River, in the historic village of Queenston, anchor our place in this community. RiverBrink is genuinely unique in Niagara, and we invite all who make their homes here and those who visit the region to join us in enrichment and learning.
Each year our exhibitions, educational programs, and special events provide opportunities for all, from tours, artist talks, to artist-led workshops. In 2024 we present the exhibition Samuel Thomas; New Beginnings, supported by our first exhibition catalogue. We are also presenting solo exhibitions of work by artists Dianne Davis, We live the opposite, dar(l)ing and Millie Chen, and the exhibition Inuit Prints and Drawings from the Collection of James J. Richardson, a proposed donation to the RiverBrink Collection. We are hosting our first annual installation festival, On The ‘Brink, August 31 to September 1, 2024. Finally, the permanent collection provides a rich source for supporting exhibitions to complement the contemporary artworks. Our exhibitions showcase the unique talents and creativity of artistic production, both past and present.
We welcome you to RiverBrink as a visitor, as a volunteer, as a neighbour, and as a fellow-art lover. We hope to see you often.
