Dahlia is bringing her teaching to Riverbrink Art museum with the aim of promoting the joy of movement through somatics, mobility exercises and education of healthy body mechanics. The series is designed to investigate all the major joints of the body from head to toe, especially the sticky parts where those cobwebs are hiding! Participants will be guided through both free flowing somatic movement explorations and gentle mobility exercises while being encouraged to work with awareness and self care in pain-free ranges of motion. More of a movement class than a yoga or Pilates class, the goal is to embrace and expand our connection to movement, and our body’s innate ability to teach ourselves just by listening in more deeply. By the end of this series you will be moving more gracefully from standing to kneeling to laying on the floor and back up again. Come and tap into your own body’s wisdom and joy in a safe and supportive environment.
Participants will need to bring a water bottle, yoga mat and wear comfortable, nonrestrictive clothing.
