This event is the first of an annual showcase of installation art in the heart of Niagara. Artist participants will receive honorariums of $600.00 (each). On The ‘Brink aims to celebrate the creativity and innovation of artists working in or about Niagara. The festival will provide an opportunity for members of the community to experience and learn about installation art, meet local artists and enjoy the stunning natural landscape at RiverBrink. Guests will enjoy local food trucks and musical entertainment, and admission will be free to the public.
Theme- ‘Land’
Land is a formative element of life and experience. While both access to land, and conflict over land, are omnipresent in today’s world, land can also be restorative and a source of great joy. For this festival, we are seeking proposals that explore the idea of land from a variety of perspectives. We invite installations that address how we see the land, make the familiar unfamiliar, and imagine new realities and futures for land.
